FERC yesterday approved the sale of Alpha Gas & Electric, LLC to Ketana Partners, LLC and David Wanounou.

Alpha Gas & Electric is a retail energy supplier that provides gas and power to residential and commercial customers. Prior to the sale, Eva Seitler and Shoshana Mueller owned or controlled all of the voting securities of Alpha.

Ketana is owned by Harvey Klein and Israel Orzel who each own 10 percent or greater of the equity interests in HIKO Energy, LLC, a retail energy supplier that provides gas and power to residential and commercial customers in New York and New Jersey. David Wanounou is currently an officer of HIKO.

In a FERC filing, Alpha Gas & Electric said that it is anticipated that as a result of the transaction that David Wanounou will resign his officer position with HIKO and subsequently assume an officer position with Alpha Gas & Electric.
