PPL Sees Continued Increase in Residential Migration to Competitive Supply

Residential migration to competitive electric supply at PPL has now increased for five consecutive weeks, according to the latest stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From June 3 to June 9, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 524 accounts, versus growth of 731 accounts in the immediately prior week. Though growth was modest, it was the fifth consecutive week of growth in residential migration to competitive supply, in contrast to the weekly declines in residential shopping seen during much of the first four months of the year.

From June 6 to June 12, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,650, accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,400 accounts.

At Met-Ed, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 2,000 accounts, up from the week-ago growth of 1,600 accounts.

At Penelec, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 400 accounts, versus the growth of 300 accounts in the immediately prior week.

At West Penn Power, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 600 accounts, versus the growth of 350 accounts in the immediately prior week.

For the most recent week, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,100 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,200 accounts.
