New Jersey Continues Consistent Growth in Residential Shopping During May

The May growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply was generally in line with the April growth at all four New Jersey electric distribution companies, according to the latest data on the BGS auction website.

From the end of April to the end of May, Public Service Electric & Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 8,900 accounts, in line with the growth of 9,400 accounts seen during April.
From the end of April to the end of May, Jersey Central Power & Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 6,100 accounts, up from the April growth of 4,900 accounts
Atlantic City Electric saw residential migration growth of 2,800 accounts during May, up marginally from the April growth of 2,700 accounts.
Rockland Electric saw residential migration growth of 250 accounts during May, versus growth of 300 accounts in April.
As a percent of residential accounts, current migration to competitive electric supply in New Jersey is:
Atlantic City Electric: 15.5%
Jersey Central Power & Light: 15.7%
Public Service Electric & Gas: 11.4%
Rockland Electric: 8.1%
