Increase in Residential Shopping at PPL Continues

Residential migration to competitive electric supply at PPL has now increased for six consecutive weeks, according to the latest stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From June 10 to June 16, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 831 accounts, versus growth of 524 accounts in the immediately prior week. It was the sixth consecutive week of growth in residential migration to competitive supply, and the growth of 831 accounts for the most recent week represents the highest weekly increase during that time.
From June 13 to June 19, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by about 1,600 accounts, in line with the week-ago growth.
At Met-Ed, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 1,800 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of nearly 2,000 accounts.
At Penelec, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 500 accounts, versus the growth of 400 accounts in the immediately prior week.
At West Penn Power, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 560 accounts, versus the growth of 570 accounts in the immediately prior week.
For the most recent week, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,200 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,100 accounts.
