Migration Growth Slows at PSE&G, Accelerates at New Jersey Natural Gas, South Jersey Gas

The migration of residential natural gas customers to competitive supply at Public Service Electric and Gas slowed during May, but accelerated at New Jersey Natural Gas and South Jersey Gas, according to the latest stats from the BPU.
The BPU has posted natural gas migration data, including accounts and load migrated, as of May 2012 (click here).

From April 2012 to May 2012, PSE&G saw the number of residential gas customers on competitive supply increase by 2,100 accounts, down from the April growth of 5,000 accounts.
From April 2012 to May 2012, New Jersey Natural Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,550 accounts, up from the April growth of 1,000 accounts.
From April 2012 to May 2012, South Jersey Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,000 accounts, up from the April growth of 66 accounts.
Elizabethtown Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 172 from April 2012 to May 2012, versus the month-ago growth of 339 accounts.
As a percent of residential accounts, current migration to competitive gas supply in New Jersey is:
Elizabethtown Gas: 1.52%
New Jersey Natural Gas: 7.99%
PSE&G: 6.43%
South Jersey Gas: 9.75%
