PPL, Penn Power See Loss of Residential Customers on Competitive Supply

PPL and Penn Power both saw a marginal decrease in the number of residential customers taking competitive electric supply during the most recent week, according to the latest stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From July 1 to July 7, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply decrease by 75. This is the first decline in residential shopping at PPL since the beginning of May. Due to a reporting gap, a comparison to the week-ago migration delta is not available, but for the final two weeks of June, PPL had seen the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 4,000.

From July 6 to July 11 (6 days), Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply decline by 16 accounts, versus the week-ago loss of 6 accounts.

From July 4 to July 10, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,250 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,150.

From July 6 to July 11 (6 days), Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 600 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,300.

From July 6 to July 11 (6 days), Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 591 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 622.

From July 6 to July 11 (6 days), West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,100 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 700.

From July 1 to July 7, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 600 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 900.
