The Illinois Commerce Commission has posted electric migration statistics for the months of May and June 2012.

The most recent detailed statistics available had been as of April 30, 2012, though the ICC had cited the aggregate number of migrated accounts at ComEd and Ameren as of May 31, 2012 in the previously reported annual Office of Retail Market Development report.

As previously noted, the ICC statistics discussed below show customers who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply. Accordingly, the data lags completed enrollments.

As of June 30, 437,000 ComEd residential customers (12.86%) had completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply, compared with 406,000 as of the end of May, and 374,000 as of the end of April.

The net growth of just over 30,000 residential customers billed on competitive supply experienced during each of the months of May and June is consistent with the April growth in residential shopping at ComEd.

Residential customers at Ameren who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply as of the end of June were as follows:

Rate Zone I, AmerenCIPS: 39,266 (12.02%)

Rate Zone II, AmerenCILCO: 41,352 (22.01%)

Rate Zone III, AmerenIP: 68,615 (12.68%)

The net growth in residential accounts billed on competitive supply at Ameren during June, compared to the May totals, was as follows:

Rate Zone I, AmerenCIPS: +10,800

Rate Zone II, AmerenCILCO: +28,600

Rate Zone III, AmerenIP: +21,491

These accelerated growth totals undoubtedly reflect the first billings on competitive supply of customers included in several March-approved governmental aggregations at Ameren.

For comparison, the May monthly growth in residential accounts billed on competitive supply at Ameren (versus the April total) was as follows:

Rate Zone I, AmerenCIPS: +3,610

Rate Zone II, AmerenCILCO: +1,097

Rate Zone III, AmerenIP: +5,990

These slower May growth totals were consistent with the growth during April.

Migration to competitive supply in the ComEd under 100 kW commercial class increased by 2,300 accounts during June, which is consistent with the growth seen during each of the past three months.

Illinois Migration as of June 30, 2012:
