PSE&G, South Jersey Gas See Accelerated Growth in Residential Customers on Competitive Supply

The migration of residential natural gas customers to competitive supply at Public Service Electric and Gas and South Jersey Gas accelerated during June, according to the latest stats from the BPU.
The BPU has posted natural gas migration data, including accounts and load migrated, as of June 2012 (click here).

From May 2012 to June 2012, PSE&G saw the number of residential gas customers on competitive supply increase by 3,600 accounts, up from the May growth of 2,100 accounts.
From May 2012 to June 2012, South Jersey Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,500 accounts, up from the May growth of 1,000 accounts.
From May 2012 to June 2012, New Jersey Natural Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 600 accounts, down from the May growth of 1,550 accounts.
Elizabethtown Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 200 from May 2012 to June 2012, versus the month-ago growth of 170 accounts.
As a percent of residential accounts, current migration to competitive gas supply in New Jersey is:
Elizabethtown Gas: 1.59%
New Jersey Natural Gas: 8.10%
PSE&G: 6.64%
South Jersey Gas: 10.21%
