Texas retail electric provider Payless Power (Young Energy, LLC) has announced a prepaid plan that provides discounted rates for bulk prepayments.

Specifically, a prepayment of $150 or more made at one time will result in a 4¢/kWh discount off the standard prepaid rate.

Prepayments of $75-$149.99 made at one time result in a 2¢/kWh discount off the standard prepaid rate.

Prepayments in an amount less than $75 do not qualify for a discount. Aggregated multiple payments also do not qualify for the discount.

At Oncor, Payless Power's standard residential prepaid product, with no discount being applied, is a variable rate currently priced at 16.6¢/kWh (per EFL for 1,000 kWh usage). Under the maximum available discount, the rate can be reduced to 12.6¢/kWh

At CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, Payless Power's standard residential prepaid product, with no discount being applied, is a variable rate currently priced at 17.6¢/kWh (per EFL for 1,000 kWh usage). Under the maximum available discount, the rate can be reduced to 13.6¢/kWh
