Four Pennsylvania Utilities See Weekly Growth in Residential Customers on Competitive Supply Hit 2,000

Four Pennsylvania electric distribution companies saw the weekly growth in residential migration to competitive supply near or exceed 2,000 accounts, according to the latest data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From July 22 to July 28, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 2,100 accounts, up from the week-ago growth of 1,700 accounts.

From July 25 to July 31, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 2,100 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 3,600 accounts.

From July 26 to August 1, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 2,400 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 2,500 accounts.

From July 26 to August 1, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,800 accounts, up significantly from the week-ago growth of 152 accounts.

From July 26 to August 1, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 200 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 540.

From July 26 to August 1, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply decrease by 16 accounts, versus the week-ago loss of 17 accounts.

From July 22 to July 28, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,000 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 930.
