AEP Ohio has filed a tariff reflecting new default service charges under its recently adopted electric security plan.

The tariff includes, for the Ohio Power & Columbus Southern Power Rate Zones, the new bypassable base generation rates, and the amount for the bypassable Transmission Cost Recovery Rider. Two additional riders are also bypassable, the Fuel Adjustment Clause Rider and Alternative Energy Rider, but new rates have not yet been set for those riders (the Alternative Energy Rider has been set at zero until the alternative energy costs currently recovered in the bypassable FAC are placed in the new rider).

By filing compliance tariffs, AEP Ohio said that it was not withdrawing its right under Ohio law to withdraw the electric security plan (since it was modified by PUCO). AEP Ohio said it will make a determination of whether to accept or withdraw the modified ESP once a final rehearing order is issued (or the original order become final in the even there are no rehearing requests).
