PPL Again Sees Slowdown in Growth of Residential Customers on Competitive Supply

The start of August saw a dramatic slowdown in the growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply at PPL, according to the latest data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

As previously noted, updated migration data for PPL was not listed in the 8/8/12 Report.
However, over the two-week period from the last reported data as of July 28 to the most recent August 11 data, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by only 210.
In contrast, for the one-week period from July 22 to July 28, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 2,100 accounts
From August 8 to August 14, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,300 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 3,000 accounts.
From August 9 to August 15, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,900 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 3,000 accounts.
From August 5 to August 11, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,700 accounts, nearly triple the week-ago growth of 600 accounts.
From August 9 to August 15, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,200 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 700 accounts.
From August 9 to August 15, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 430 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 320 accounts.
From August 9 to August 15, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 48 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 3 accounts.
