New Jersey Sees Slower Growth in Residential Migration to Competitive Supply in July

The growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply in New Jersey during July slowed versus the growth experienced in June, according to the latest data posted on the BGS auction website.

From the end of June to the end of July, Public Service Electric & Gas saw the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply increase by 3,300 accounts, less than half of the growth of 7,700 accounts experienced during June.
From the end of June to the end of July, Jersey Central Power & Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 4,400 accounts, down from the June growth of 6,000 accounts.
Atlantic City Electric saw residential migration to competitive supply grow by 1,900 accounts during July, down from the June growth of 2,800 accounts.
Rockland Electric saw residential migration growth of 190 accounts during July, versus growth of 230 accounts in June.
As a percent of residential accounts, migration to competitive electric supply in New Jersey as of July 31 is:
Atlantic City Electric: 16.5%
Jersey Central Power & Light: 16.8%
Public Service Electric & Gas: 12.0%
Rockland Electric: 8.7%
