NRG Energy's retail suppliers Green Mountain Energy and Reliant will make a donation to one of several local tree organizations if a customer test drives select electric vehicles.

Specifically, the suppliers will donate $25 to The Texas Tree Foundation in North Texas or Trees for Houston if their customer test drives a Mitsubishi "i" or Nissan Leaf between now and December 1 at a participating "EVs for Trees" dealership.

The "EVs for Trees" program, launched by NRG Energy, Inc.'s eVgo, separately donates $25 for each EV test drive at participating dealers regardless of the customer's electric supplier.
