PPL Sees Marginal Improvement in Growth Rate of Residential Shopping

PPL saw a marginal improvement in the rate of growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply during the most recent week, according to the August 22 data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From August 12 to August 18, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 463 accounts. While a comparison to week-ago growth is unavailable, this represents an improvement over the growth of only 210 accounts over the two-week period from July 29 to August 11.

From August 15 to August 21, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,200 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,300 accounts.

From August 16 to August 22, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 2,100 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,900 accounts.

From August 12 to August 18, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,600 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,700 accounts.

From August 16 to August 22, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,400 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,200 accounts.

From August 16 to August 22, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 740 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 430 accounts.

From August 16 to August 22, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 53 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 48 accounts.
