Start-up Eligo Energy, LLC to Launch Retail Supplier

A new start-up called Eligo Energy, LLC will soon be entering the retail electric markets in several states.

According to an application for FERC market-based rate authority, Eligo Energy, LLC plans to sell electricity to retail end use customers located in the New York ISO and PJM regions, and is currently applying for an electric supplier license from the following regulators: Illinois Commerce Commission; New Jersey Board of Public Utilities; Public Utilities Commission of Ohio; Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission; Maryland Public Service Commission; New York State Department of Public Service; and Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia.

Alexander Goldstein serves as CEO of Eligo Energy, LLC.

A website for Eligo Energy, LLC which Matters stresses still appears to be under construction and therefore may not reflect final marketing plans, suggests that customers may sign up as "partners" of Eligo Energy, which would appear geared towards a form of network marketing (as stated: "Our partnership program can help you leverage your network of contacts and customers to help everyone save on energy").

The site also suggests Eligo Energy will offer "Home Services Bundles" in addition to electric supply.
