As listed on the PUC's August report, some 32,415 residential gas customers at PECO were taking competitive supply in August, which represents growth of nearly 1,800 migrated residential accounts versus July. The month-ago net shopping growth at PECO had been nearly 3,200 residential accounts.

At UGI Utilities - Gas Division, the growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply from July to August was 978 accounts, versus the growth of 488 accounts from June to July.

It also appears that over the two-month period from June to August, National Fuel Gas Distribution saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 881 accounts (though not listing a specific date, the June and July totals for shopped residential accounts at National Fuel Gas Distribution were identical in the June and July PUC charts, which Matters attributes to a reporting gap rather than zero growth from June to July).

From July to August, Peoples Natural Gas saw a net loss of 223 residential shoppers, while Equitable Gas saw a net loss of 100 residential shoppers.

Other notable changes in the number of residential customers on competitive supply during August, versus the July total (per the PUC reports), were seen at the following distribution companies:

Columbia Gas: +224

UGI Central Penn Gas: (2)

UGI Penn Natural Gas: +79

As a percent of residential accounts, migration to competitive supply as of August is as follows, per the PUC charts:

Columbia Gas: 27.9%

Equitable Gas: 6.0%

National Fuel Gas Distribution: 9.3%

PECO: 7.2%

Peoples Natural Gas: 26.0%

Peoples TWP: 0%
