PPL Sees Spike in Weekly Residential Migration Growth

PPL saw a significant increase in the growth of the number of residential customers on competitive electric supply in the most recent week, according to the September 19 migration data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From September 9 to September 15, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,900 accounts. A week-ago comparison is not available, but over the two-week period from August 26 to September 8, PPL had seen the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by only 1,200 accounts.

PECO saw the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply rebound, with net growth of 1,200 residential shoppers from September 12 to September 18. This is up from the week-ago growth of only 200, which likely had been affected by the Labor Day holiday.

From September 9 to September 15, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,300 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,200 accounts.

From September 13 to September 19, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,400 accounts, up from the week-ago growth of 1,000 accounts.

From September 13 to September 19, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by nearly 1,100 accounts, which was even with the week-ago growth.

From September 13 to September 19, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,100 accounts, nearly double the week-ago growth of 650 accounts.

From September 13 to September 19, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 78 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 64 accounts.
