PECO Posts Results of Default Service Procurement

PECO has released the results of its fall 2012 procurement of default service supplies, which consisted of the procurement of block energy products to serve a portion of residential load for the period December 1, 2012 through December 31, 2014.
PECO procured 30 MW of 5x16 power for the December 2012 to February 2013 period at a weighted average winning price of $42.63/MWh.
PECO procured 60 MW of 7x24 power for the January 2013 to December 2013 period at a weighted average winning price of $38.24/MWh.
PECO procured 40 MW of 7x24 power for the January 2013 to December 2014 period at a weighted average winning price of $38.88/MWh.
Prices reflect the cost of the block energy only, and not capacity, ancillaries, and other products required to serve load.
