PECO Sees Weekly Residential Migration Growth Rise 50%

PECO saw the weekly growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply increase 50% to nearly 2,000 during the most recent week, according to the October 3 migration data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From September 26 to October 2, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,850 accounts, up from growth of 1,250 accounts a week ago. A new, higher residential Price to Compare took effect at PECO on October 1.
From September 23 to September 29, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by only 200 accounts, down from growth of 750 accounts a week ago.
From September 27 to October 2, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,450 accounts, up from the week-ago growth of 1,100 accounts.
From September 27 to October 2, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 800 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,000 accounts.
From September 27 to October 2, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 300 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 630 accounts.
From September 27 to October 2, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by only 48 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 18 accounts.
According to the latest PUC report, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 553 accounts since the immediately prior weekly report. The latest PA Power Switch chart lists a reporting date of October 3 for Duquesne Light's stats, which would be a departure from its normal schedule (under which data would have been reported as of September 29) and would represent 11 days rather than the standard 7.
