Retail Supplier Collegiate Clean Energy, LLC Preparing to Launch Operations

A new retail supplier called Collegiate Clean Energy, LLC is preparing to launch operations.

East Coast Clean Energy of Virginia LLC owns 75 percent of the ownership interests in Collegiate Clean Energy. Ingenco Holdings, LLC owns the other 25 percent of the ownership interests.

Ingenco Holdings has the option to increase its ownership share in Collegiate Clean Energy to 50 percent.

According to an application for FERC market-based rate authority, Collegiate Clean Energy's sole business, "will be to act as a retail electric provider in states that allow retail competition."

Ingenco's website states that, "Collegiate Clean Energy (CCE) provides clean, green energy to colleges and universities."

East Coast Clean Energy of Virginia LLC is wholly owned by Thomas Loehr. Mr. Loehr owns 20 percent of Charleston Clean Energy LLC, which in turn owns a 2-MW Qualifying Facility located in Charleston, West Virginia

Ingenco Holdings is owned by a single limited liability company, Ingenco Investors, L.L.C., and six individuals employed in Ingenco Holdings' management. Ingenco Investors, L.L.C. is wholly owned by Charles J. Packard, Chief Executive Officer of Ingenco Holdings.

Ingenco Holdings wholly owns Industrial Power Generating Company, L.L.C. and Ingenco Renewable Development, LLC. Solely through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Industrial Power Generating is engaged in the business of manufacturing, building, owning, and operating small renewable energy, distributed generation projects using landfill gas and recycled oil products as their primary fuel. Industrial Power Generating wholly owns Ingenco Wholesale Power, L.L.C.

Ingenco Wholesale Power owns and operates sixteen landfill gas and recycled oil facilities located in Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia, with a combined capacity of approximately 147.5 MW.

Ingenco Renewable Development, LLC develops and constructs renewable energy plants.
