PSE&G Sees Large Jump in Growth of Residential Customers on Competitive Supply

Public Service Electric & Gas saw a large jump in the monthly growth of the number of residential electric customers taking competitive supply during September, versus the August growth, according to newly posted stats on the BGS auction website

From the end of August to the end of September, Public Service Electric & Gas saw the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply increase by 7,500 accounts, double the August growth of 3,750 accounts.
From the end of August to the end of September, Jersey Central Power & Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 4,500 accounts, up from growth of 4,300 accounts in August.
Atlantic City Electric saw residential migration to competitive supply grow by 3,500 accounts during September, up from the August growth of 2,200 accounts.
Rockland Electric saw residential migration growth of 200 accounts during September, versus growth of 260 accounts in August.
As a percent of residential accounts, migration to competitive electric supply in New Jersey as of September 30 is:
Atlantic City Electric: 17.69%
Jersey Central Power & Light: 17.72%
Public Service Electric & Gas: 12.62%
Rockland Electric: 9.46%
