PPL Sees Surge in Weekly Residential Shopping Growth; Strong PECO Weekly Migration Continues

PPL saw a nearly three-fold increase in the weekly growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply, according to the October 24 migration data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From October 14 to October 20, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 2,200 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 776 accounts.

From October 17 to October 23, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 3,900 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 4,200 and growth of 3,500 accounts two weeks ago. A new, higher residential Price to Compare took effect at PECO on October 1.

From October 18 to October 24, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 2,100 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,800 accounts.

From October 14 to October 20, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 950 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,100 accounts.

From October 18 to October 24, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by about 900 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 800 accounts.

From October 18 to October 24, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 260 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 300 accounts.

From October 18 to October 24, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 100 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 60 accounts.
