Voters in Chicago, Numerous Illinois Towns Approve Municipal Opt-Out Aggregation

Voters in Chicago have given approval for the city to conduct an opt-out municipal electric aggregation.
The measure won with about 56% of the vote.
In Cook County, other aggregations were approved in Calumet City, Chicago Heights, Cicero, Dolton, Glenview, Hazel Crest, Hillside, Indian Head Park, Inverness, La Grange, Melrose Park, North Riverside, Northfield, Oak Lawn, Rosemont, Schaumburg, Stickney, and Worth.
Aggregations failed in Alsip, Blue Island, Elmwood Park (both electric and gas), and Lynwood.
All aggregation measures on the ballot in Champaign and Vermilion counties were approved.
