Entrust Energy Affiliate North Eastern States Seeking Gas, Electric Supplier Licenses in New State

North Eastern States, Inc. has applied for licenses as an Illinois alternative retail electric supplier and alternative gas supplier to serve, for electricity, all customer classes at ComEd, and for gas, all customer classes in all service areas. In addition to the half a dozen previously reported states in which North Eastern States is seeking a supplier license, North Eastern States said in its Illinois applications that it is also in the process of seeking a license in Massachusetts. As first reported by Matters, North Eastern States is an affiliate of Texas retail provider Entrust Energy.

Discount Energy Group Seeks Supplier License in New State

Discount Energy Group, LLC applied for an Ohio electric supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. Discount Energy Group is licensed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, and has enrolled over 30,000 customers since launching about two years ago. During 2011, from start-up to year-end, Discount Energy Group delivered 43,000 MWh, and from January 2012 to September 2012, delivered 100,175 MWh to New Jersey customers.

The Maryland PSC granted Glacial Natural Gas, Inc. an expanded natural gas supplier license to include service to residential customers.

Electric Advisors, Inc. applied for a Connecticut electric aggregator certificate to serve commercial and industrial customers.
