Five Pennsylvania Utilities See Weekly Residential Migration Growth Exceed 1,000 Customers

Five Pennsylvania utilities saw the weekly growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply exceed more than 1,000 accounts in the most recent week, according to the November 21 migration data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From November 14 to November 20, PECO saw the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply grow by 2,000 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 2,200 accounts. A new, higher residential Price to Compare took effect at PECO on October 1.

Due to a reporting gap, a week-over-week comparison of residential migration at PPL was not available, but from November 4 to November 17 PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 2,300 accounts.

From November 15 to November 21, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,900 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,650 accounts.

From November 15 to November 21, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,250 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 950 accounts.

From November 11 to November 17, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,100 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,800 accounts.

From November 15 to November 21, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 700 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 550 accounts.

From November 15 to November 21, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 288 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 340 accounts.
