New Jersey Growth in Migration to Competitive Supply Generally Slower During October, Stats Show

The growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply in New Jersey was generally lower in October 2012, versus the growth seen in September 2012, according to the latest stats on the BGS auction site.

From the end of September to the end of October, Public Service Electric & Gas saw the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply increase by 7,300 accounts, generally in line with the growth of 7,500 during September.

From the end of September to the end of October, Jersey Central Power & Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 3,500 accounts, versus the growth of 4,500 accounts during September.

Atlantic City Electric saw residential migration to competitive supply grow by 1,700 accounts during October, down from growth of 3,500 accounts during September.

Rockland Electric saw residential migration growth of 220 accounts during October, versus growth of 200 accounts in September.

As a percent of residential accounts, migration to competitive electric supply in New Jersey as of October 31 was:

Atlantic City Electric: 18.05%

Jersey Central Power & Light: 18.07%

Public Service Electric & Gas: 13.01%

Rockland Electric: 9.81%
