WGES Now Offering 100% Pennsylvania-Wind Products to Residential, Business Customers

Washington Gas Energy Services is now offering Pennsylvania-sourced wind products to residential and non-residential customers at PECO, PPL, Met-Ed, and Penelec.
Residential customers can elect products with 50% or 100% Pennsylvania wind.
As part of the product launch, WGES has also joined ChoosePAWind, a coalition of wind power developers, wind industry manufacturers, green electricity suppliers and environmental supporters, which among other things runs a website with a portal for customers to select renewable energy suppliers in Pennsylvania.
Current residential pricing of WGES' Pennsylvania-wind products at PECO, where a utility-offered REC default service add-on is ceasing at the end of the year, is as follows:
• 50% PA-wind: 8.40¢/kWh, 12 Months fixed
• 100% PA-wind: 8.80¢/kWh, 12 Months fixed
The products include an early termination fee of $150.
