PECO Sees Net Loss of Customers on Competitive Supply

PECO saw a net decline in the number of customers on competitive electric supply for the most recent week, according to the December 5 migration data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From November 28 to December 4, PECO saw the total number of customers on competitive supply decline by 65 accounts, according to the PUC's statistics.
The decline was solely within the commercial customer class, which saw a net decline of 80 accounts on competitive supply during the most recent week, versus the week-ago growth of 66 commercial shoppers.
Among residential customers, PECO saw migration to competitive supply increase by a mere 14 accounts from November 28 to December 4, versus the week-ago growth of nearly 1,000 accounts.
PPL, meanwhile, saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,500 accounts from November 25 to December 1, up from the week-ago growth of 700 accounts.
From November 29 to December 5, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 2,000 accounts, nearly double the week-ago growth of 1,100 accounts.
From November 29 to December 5, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,000 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 900 accounts.
From November 29 to December 5, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by nearly 1,000 accounts, up significantly from the week-ago growth of 355 accounts.
During the most recent week, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 623 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 759 accounts.
From November 29 to December 5, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 280 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 163 accounts.
