Bith Solar Seeking Retail Supplier License

Bith Solar I, LLC has applied for a Maryland electric supplier license to serve commercial and industrial customers at BGE, Pepco, and Delmarva. Bith Solar I is owned by Bith Energy, Inc. which develops distributed and renewable generation, and also provides services for managing energy consumption and smart grid infrastructure build-out. Specifically, Bith Solar I, LLC is part of the project team involved in the development and construction of a 4 MW solar generating facility on a site in Somerset County, Maryland. The project is owned, and will be operated by, a third party that is not affiliated with Bith Solar I, LLC. Bith Solar I, LLC has entered into a twenty-year power purchase agreement with the project owner to purchase a portion of the solar energy produced by the project. Bith Solar I, LLC will resell the energy purchased from the project to a non-affiliated third party retail purchaser under a back-to-back twenty-year power purchase agreement.
