Star Energy Partners Receives Supplier License in New State
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted Star Energy Partners LLC an electric supplier license to serve residential, commercial, and mercantile customers in all service areas. As first reported by Matters, Star Energy is a start-up owned by Tony Banks and FC Energy LLC. FC Energy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Communications, Inc. In its initial FERC MBR application, Star Energy Partners reported that FirstEnergy Corp. owns 27.4% of the common stock of First Communications.
