Stream Energy has expanded its New York service footprint to now include electric and natural gas customers at National Grid's Niagara Mohawk service area.
For residential electric customers, Stream Energy's offers vary by the customer's New York ISO zone (Zones A-F). All current offers are month-to-month variable products.
Stream's current residential variable rates for NiMo customers are:
Zone A: $0.0508/kWh
Zone B: $0.0508/kWh
Zone C: $0.0588/kWh
Zone D: $0.0568/kWh
Zone E: $0.0598/kWh
Zone F (Albany): $0.0758/kWh
For NiMo natural gas customers, Stream is offering a monthly variable rate currently priced at $0.4780/therm.
"Today's announcement deepens Stream Energy's commitment to serving consumers in New York," said Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder. "In November, we officially opened for business in the New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG) and Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E) service areas, which combined represent 1.6 million eligible customers. With the opening of the National Grid territory, we have doubled the size and scope of our New York operations and its attendant income opportunities for our Ignite sales force."
