Arista Power Offers Community Solar Purchasing Program for Genesee County, N.Y.

Distributed generation provider Arista Power, Inc. announced that the Genesee County (N.Y.) Economic Development Center has partnered with Arista Power to launch a new community solar purchasing initiative, called "Solarize Genesee." According to Arista Power, "Solarize Genesee is a solar purchasing program available to the community that offers bulk pricing, a complete streamlined process from site assessment to installation and tax incentive form assistance, educational workshops, and local workforce training." The program will be available to all Genesee County home and business owners, farmers, institutions, and municipalities on a first come, first serve basis for a limited time. "With our solar community purchasing program, combined with tax incentives, our solar customers can have paybacks as low as just a couple of years, with several decades of ongoing benefit," said John Benetti, Project Director at Arista Power.

Energy Curtailment Specialists Launches New Customer Portal

Energy Curtailment Specialists, Inc. announced that it has developed a, "centralized, user-friendly online portal" designed as a, "modern and simple approach for participants in ECS' PowerPay! demand response programs to cultivate their knowledge about the energy industry and everything demand response." The portal will offer a customized metering interface where customers will be able to track their usage, carbon footprint, and overall performance as well as open up new avenues for communication between ECS and its customers, the company said. "We developed this online portal with the improvement of our customers' experience as the primary objective. We believe that a better informed customer is a better served customer. The portal allows for improved communication as well as a streamlined method of exchanging pertinent knowledge regarding our demand response programs thereby revolutionizing the manner in which we serve our customers," said Jim Korczykowski, President and CEO of Energy Curtailment Specialists, Inc.
