Despite a holiday break in meter reading (which delays the executions of switches), PECO saw solid growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply during the most recent week, according to the January 2 stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

Matters has also developed a comparison of the migration levels from the 12/27/12 Report to the 1/2/12 Report.

From December 27 to January 2, PECO saw the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply increase by 1,900 accounts. While this is down from the growth of 9,300 accounts in the immediately prior week, it is still a solid number given the holiday meter reading schedule, and in light of a weekly loss in residential migration earlier in December.

Data for PPL was not included in the week-ago report, so a weekly growth comparison is not available. However, from December 16 to December 29, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,300 accounts.

From December 27 to December 30 (date listed on PUC chart), West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 700 accounts.

From December 27 to December 30 (date listed on PUC chart), Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 650 accounts.

From December 27 to December 30 (date listed on PUC chart), Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 600 accounts.

During the most recent week, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 280 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 744 accounts.

From December 27 to December 30 (date listed on PUC chart), Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 159 accounts.
