BGE Sees Higher Growth in Residential Shopping During November

The monthly growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply at Baltimore Gas & Electric rose during November, compared with the October growth, according to new stats posted by the Maryland PSC
The Maryland PSC has now posted electric migration data for the month of November 2012.

Matters has also developed a comparison of the change in residential accounts on competitive supply from October to November.

From October 31, 2012 to November 30, 2012, BGE saw the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply increase by 5,150 accounts, up from the October growth of 4,800 accounts.
In contrast, Pepco continued to see marginal growth in residential shopping. From October 31, 2012 to November 30, 2012. Pepco saw the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply increase by 634 accounts, down from the October growth of 844 accounts.
From October 31, 2012 to November 30, 2012, Potomac Edison saw the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply increase by 1,500 accounts, up from the October growth of 1,400 accounts.
From October 31, 2012 to November 30, 2012, Delmarva saw the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply increase by 762 accounts, down from the October growth of 1,000 accounts.
As a percent of residential electric customers, Maryland migration to competitive supply was as follows for the month ending November 2012:
BGE: 26.8%
Delmarva: 15.9%
Pepco: 23.7%
Potomac Edison: 12.5%
