PPL EnergyPlus Awarded Contract to Supply U.S. Navy

PPL EnergyPlus has been awarded a two-year energy supply contract by the U.S. Department of Defense for the U.S. Navy's Pennsylvania facilities in Mechanicsburg and Philadelphia. PPL EnergyPlus will supply all the electricity required to serve the needs of the Philadelphia Naval Base and the Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg facility in Hampden Township, Cumberland County.

Keating Named Federal Programs Manager at ConEdison Solutions

ConEdison Solutions has named Peter Keating to the position of Federal Programs Manager. Keating will manage ConEdison Solutions' relationships in Washington, D.C. as a member of the company's Falls Church, Virginia office, in support of ConEdison Solutions' energy services portfolio. He will focus on program coordination and sales support for the company's energy services sales team for both governmental and commercial clients. Before joining ConEdison Solutions, Keating worked for PS&S Global, where he managed programs that leveraged the economic and technical benefits of energy savings performance contracts and power purchase agreements.

Howell Steps Down as COO of Dynegy

Dynegy Inc. announced that Chief Operating Officer (COO) Kevin Howell stepped down from the COO role effective January 4, 2013. Howell, who had come out of retirement to join Dynegy during its restructuring process, will continue as an employee for the company both in an advisory capacity as well as supporting an orderly transition of his current responsibilities and will continue to report directly to Dynegy President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robert Flexon. The company expects to announce Howell's replacement during the first quarter of 2013. In the interim, commercial and plant operations functions will report directly to Flexon with assistance from Howell.
