PPL Starts New Year by Seeing Decline in Residential Customers on Competitive Supply

PPL saw a decline in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply during the first week of 2013, according to the January 9 stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From December 30 to January 5, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply decline by 126 accounts. A comparison to the week-ago change is not available.
From January 3 to January 8, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,900 accounts, which was even with the week-ago growth.
From December 31 to January 9, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 511 accounts.
From December 31 to January 9, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 867 accounts.
From December 31 to January 9, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 625 accounts.
During the most recent week, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 816 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 279 accounts.
From December 31 to January 9, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 196 accounts.
