Consumers Energy has filed its final electric choice cap for the year 2013 with the Michigan PSC.

Consumers Energy reported that its final choice cap for 2013 is 3,729,821 MWh, based on weather-adjusted retail sales for the calendar year 2012 of 37,298,206 MWh.

Current choice volumes of 4,022,878 MWh already exceed this cap, and therefore there is no new space under the cap for 2013.

According to Consumers Energy's cap tracking system, there is currently 5,231,295 MWh, representing 5,862 enrollments, in Consumers Energy's choice queue.
