PPL Sees Large Jump in Growth of Residential Shopping

PPL saw a significant increase in the weekly growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply, according to the January 23 stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From January 13 to January 19, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,200 accounts, which is four times the week-ago growth of 300 accounts.
From January 16 to January 22, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,200 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,750 accounts.
From January 17 to January 23, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 963 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,100 accounts.
From January 17 to January 23, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 901 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 918 accounts.
From January 17 to January 23, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 800 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,000 accounts.
During the most recent week, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 922 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 779 accounts.
From January 17 to January 23, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 325 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 313 accounts.
