The Maine PUC has approved new Standard Offer rates for medium commercial and industrial (C&I) customers of Central Maine Power (CMP) and Bangor Hydro-Electric (BHE), and approved a process to establish Standard Offer rates for large C&I customers, for a six-month term beginning March 1, 2013.
The new medium C&I Standard Offer rates are as follows, in $/kWh.
CMP:
Mar-13: $0.06669
Apr-13: $0.05936
May-13: $0.05642
Jun-13: $0.05742
Jul-13: $0.06333
Aug-13: $0.06119
BHE:
Mar-13: $0.06581
Apr-13: $0.05784
May-13: $0.05589
Jun-13: $0.05803
Jul-13: $0.06295
Aug-13: $0.06124
Specific rates were not established for large C&I customers. The PUC said that the bids accepted for large C&I customers are indexed to the market, and prices will be set by the PUC in advance of each month based on current market prices. Although an order establishing the process was not immediately available, the PUC gave no indication that this process would depart from the current monthly indexed pricing in place for large C&I customers at CMP and BHE.
