Neil Leibman, one of the founders of Gexa Energy and who has held positions with a variety of retail suppliers, has been named President and CEO of Summer Energy, a Texas retail electric provider.
Summer Energy filed for an amendment to its REP certificate to reflect Leibman's appointment.
Pursuant to a prior settlement agreement regarding the certificate of TexRep5, LLC d/b/a AllStar Energy (click here for background), Leibman had been prohibited from serving as a principal, as defined in P.U.C. Subst. R. 25.107(b)(11), officer, director, or board member of a REP certificated by the PUCT for a period of 18 months.
The 18-month prohibition period ended on November 16, 2012.
Rod Danielson, who formerly served as CEO of Summer Energy, remains with the company as President of Supply Management.
