New Retail Supplier Offering Residential Service in Illinois

A new retail supplier has begun offering residential electricity supply in Illinois, at Commonwealth Edison.

Specifically, Kona Energy now lists four residential products on the Plug In Illinois site for ComEd residential customers.

Kona Energy plans include:

• 6 Months Fixed, 5.928¢/kWh

• 12 Months Fixed, 5.490¢/kWh

• 24 Months Fixed, 5.5900¢/kWh

• Monthly Variable, 5.610¢/kWh

The fixed products include an early termination fee of $100 if the term remaining on the product is less than 12 months, or $200 if the term remaining is 12 months or more.

As previously reported, Kona Energy, a trade name for Iron Energy, is led by David Luppino, Chad Gallun, and Michael Elhaj, who previously founded and led Texas retail provider Chain Lakes Power (Simple Power)
