ERCOT Files Backcast of Operating Reserve Demand Curve Proposal

ERCOT has filed in PUCT Project 40000 a backcast analysis focused on the potential impacts of the "Interim Solution B" concept to improve scarcity pricing by utilizing reserve demand curves, as discussed at the Commission's recent workshop (see prior story for details on Interim Solution B). ERCOT's presentation outlines a methodology for determining an Operating Reserve Demand Curve (ORDC), examines the impact of different assumptions for the parameters of the ORDC, and provides a backcast analysis using data from 2011 and 2012. United Illuminating Discloses Last Resort Service Supplier
