PSE&G, South Jersey Gas See Slower Growth in Residential Shopping

Public Service Electric and Gas saw slower growth in the number of residential natural gas customers on competitive supply during December, compared to the November growth, according to the latest stats from the New Jersey BPU.
The New Jersey BPU has posted natural gas migration data, including accounts and load migrated, as of December 2012.
Matters has also developed a comparison of accounts migrated in December 2012 versus November 2012.

From November 2012 to December 2012, Public Service Electric & Gas saw the number of residential gas customers on competitive supply increase by 3,450 accounts, versus growth of 10,000 accounts during November.
From November 2012 to December 2012, New Jersey Natural Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 2,200 accounts, versus the November growth of 800 accounts.
From November 2012 to December 2012, South Jersey Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 281 accounts, versus the November growth of 1,750 accounts.
Elizabethtown Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply decrease by 112 from November 2012 to December 2012, versus the month-ago increase of 98 accounts. Elizabethtown Gas had experienced a slight increase in total residential accounts eligible for gas choice from November 2012 to December 2012
As a percent of residential accounts, migration to competitive gas supply in New Jersey as of December 2012 was:
Elizabethtown Gas: 1.61%
New Jersey Natural Gas: 10.39%
PSE&G: 8.50%
South Jersey Gas: 12.10%
