Maryland Directs Supplier to Remove Reference to Guarantee of "Cheaper Electricity"

The Maryland PSC has directed a retail supplier to remove a reference to "cheaper electricity."

Specifically, the Maryland PSC granted Eligo Energy MD, LLC an electric license to serve all customer classes.

In its letter order granting the license, the PSC directed Eligo Energy MD, "to remove any language that guarantees 'cheaper electricity' in its training materials."

The PSC's direction came after the PSC recently expressed concern with the use of the terms "Simply Pay Less" and "lower your electric bills today" by another retail supplier, click here for more details and prior story
