Duke Energy Ohio Nears 50% of Residential Accounts Switched

Nearly 50% of residential electric accounts at Duke Energy Ohio were on competitive supply as of December 31, 2012, according to stats newly posted by PUCO, and migration has likely passed 50% since then.

According to the data posted by PUCO, the change in the number of residential customers on competitive supply from September 30, 2012 to December 31, 2012 was as follows:
AEP Ohio: 45,103 Cleveland Electric Illuminating: 9,702 Dayton Power & Light: 23,497 Duke Energy Ohio: 24,611 Ohio Edison: 11,009 Toledo Edison: 2,361
