Delta Energy Services, a provider of international energy management consulting services, announced that its affiliate Perimeter Energy Inc. acquired select commodity consulting services accounts from, and entered into a strategic energy commodity management services agreement with, Canadian-based Energy Advantage Incorporated (EAI).
The arrangement includes the purchase of select EAI energy commodity management contracts and EAI's Quebec entity, Gigacon. Energy Advantage Inc. had acquired Gigacon in 2010. At that time, Gigacon specialized in providing natural gas and petroleum management services primarily to a large number of Quebec hospitals and industrial companies.
Delta will also provide outsourced energy commodity management services to EAI's total energy and environmental management (TEEM) customers. In addition, EAI's commodity consulting services team will join Delta's team of energy experts.
"Delta's focused strategy to thoughtfully grow our company and our team of experts reflects our commitment to staying at the forefront of the developing energy opportunities in North America," said Sheri Tackett, CEO of Delta. "We are nearly doubling our client base and further strengthening our position as a top provider of independent international energy management services."
Delta will maintain offices in Ontario and Quebec to support existing and new customers in the region.
An affiliate of Delta Energy Services, Delta Energy LLC, previously offered retail natural gas supply, but sold its commodity supply business to Hess last year.
