New Hampshire PUC Sets New Default Service Rates

The New Hampshire PUC has approved new default service rates at Granite State Electric for residential and small commercial customers (Small Customer Group) for the period May 1, 2013 through October 31, 2013, and for medium and large commercial and industrial customers (Large Customer Group) for the period May 1, 2013 through July 31, 2013.

For the Small Customer Group, the new default service rate, including adjustments for reconciliation, reclassification, and the adder for compliance with Granite State Electric's RPS obligations, is $0.06656 per kWh for the period May 1, 2013 through October 31, 2013.

This is a decrease from the current rate of $0.07525/kWh.

For the Large Customer Group, the new monthly default service rates, including adjustments for reconciliation, reclassification, and the adder for compliance with the Granite State Electric's RPS obligations, are:

May:   $0.06258 per kWh
June:  $0.07127 per kWh
July:  $0.07403 per kWh

Granite State Electric selected NextEra Energy Power Marketing, LLC to provide default service for the Large Customer Group for the period May 1, 2013 through July 31, 2013, and Exelon Generation Company, LLC to provide default service for the Small Customer Group for the period May 1, 2013 through October 31, 2013.
