Broker-consultant 5 has opened an office to serve the Northeast market, and has added industry veterans Steve Kass and Thom Dickinson to its team.
"Our ability to help customers on a national scale just took a huge step forward," Brian Hayduk, President of 5, said of the new office and hires, who will be based in New Jersey and primarily serve the New York and PJM markets.
Kass has been involved in deregulated electricity since its inception in the Northeast in the late 1990s. He started his energy career when he joined AES NewEnergy as the Marketing Manager for New York and New Jersey. Over time he assumed a variety of roles including Director of Sales and Director of Customer Care for Constellation NewEnergy and Juice Energy.
Dickinson is a life-long energy professional with 40+ years of experience in a variety of energy related positions. As a Certified Energy Procurement Professional, Thom managed electricity supply, hedging and system operations for two major industrial corporations, including Purdue Farms. Prior to joining 5, he had an extensive career serving large commercial and industrial clients as an energy advisor for two of the leading electricity and natural gas suppliers in North America, the most recent being Direct Energy.
