Online Broker Led by Two Constellation Energy Veterans Expanding to New States

A start-up retail energy broker led by two former Constellation Energy vice presidents has launched service and is expanding to several new states.

ClearlyEnergy, Inc., founded in 2012, "is a search engine designed to simplify retail consumer energy decisions."

The site, www.clearlyenergy.com, is currently live as a Beta version for New York.

ClearlyEnergy, Inc. has applied for Maryland electric and natural gas broker licenses to serve all customer classes in all service areas.

The site will provide Maryland residential and small commercial customers with pricing and term information from retail energy suppliers, and eventually, this service will expand to include major household appliances.

Each individual offer contains a link to the supplier site, where the customer has the option to sign up. This service will be available initially to residential customers, with plans to expand to commercial and industrial customers.

Veronique Bugnion serves as CEO of ClearlyEnergy, Inc. Bugnion previously served as a Vice President at Constellation Power Source, specializing in risk management and pricing, among other things. Bugnion has also held senior positions at Goldman Sachs, Point Carbon, and Thomson Reuters, including as Global Head, Natural Gas and Carbon Markets at the latter.

Norma Jean Autry serves as President of ClearlyEnergy, Inc. Autry was previously Director, Power and Gas Marketing at Wells Fargo, spearheading Wells Fargo's entry into the U.S. power sector. Previously, Autry spent nine years at Constellation Energy Commodities Group, including over five years as Vice President, Structured Products Origination.
